Networking With a Latin Twist!

This Thursday, the merchants at the Citadelle Plaza are hosting the West Valley Women & Wine group for their monthly meeting this Thursday, 5:30-7:30 PM. Now, mind you this is no ordinary group of West Valley business women! This is a high-energy, highly-networked group of women who know how to do a networking event.

The group is connected with West Valley Magazine and Cathy Vix is their Sales Manager who organizes their event each month.

The Citadelle Plaza is going all out to show these women that we know a thing or two about throwing a fun event, too! Sangria Luxe Lounge is opening their doors early and is hosting this event with sangrias and a 45-minute dance lesson for the group.

The merchants have been very generous with donations and gift certificates from their establishments and we will be raffling these special "Citadelle-Sample" baskets throughout the event.

You're more than welcome to join in the fun, just CLICK HERE for the evite; it's only $5 and a chance to meet some delightful women.

Of course, the fun doesn't have to end at 7:30 PM. Sangria always has Salsa Lessons every Thursday evening, so you can stay and try out the new moves you just learned. But perhaps you have worked up an appetite, so step next door to Corbin's bar & grill and enjoy a nice dinner or cocktails with your girlfriends. Sounds fun to me, either way!

Magical Night for First of Fall Series: Twilight Farmers Market

Last Wednesday, the Twilight Farmers Market kicked back in. At 4 Pm, the new start time, the scene was a bit hectic: new vendors trying to figure out where to go, a Tucson farmer got lost and arrived late with loads of watermelon and flowers and many people there ready to be the first to grab the cream of the crop!

I lost my camera helping some of the farmers set-up, so I need you to send me some pictures (in your comments) and I guess I am getting a new one this week!

The weather could not have been nicer. The patios at Corbin's bar & grill and at Tutti Santi ristorante by Nina were completely packed with diners by 5:30 PM. Ah, yes, this is WHY we live in Arizona. I tried the Veal Cannelloni for the first time at Tutti Santi's and it was love at first site! You've got to try this item on your next visit there.

I bought some crunchy green apples and the best sweet apple cider form a vendor who came all the way down from Oak Creek/Sedona. I loaded up on Pastamore's Basil/Parmesan dipping oil and Sticky Finger BBQ sauce. She had suggested piercing the fresh salmon I just bought, cover the fish with her sauce and slow cook over a cedar plank, which I did on Thursday evening, it was a real treat.

All our merchants are holding a food drive for St. Mary's during the month of October, so be sure to bring a bag full of canned goods and peanut butter and drop off at your favorite store, for this very worthy cause. Our tenants have already filled hundreds of boxes with food to fill the shelves for those less fortunate! Good job!

This Wednesday, eight more vendors will be filling the courtyard with their produce and baked goods. Let's all show them that the west and northern valleys love to buy our groceries from local sources at the best farmers market in town! See you soon....

Winner Receives Ultimate Flyaway Giveaway to See Justin Timberlake

One lucky person was chosen to fly to Las Vegas, stay two nights at the Mandalay Bay resort and attend the Justin Timberlake and friends concert on Saturday's 'Party at the Plaza' event. The event started out on the Plaza with a Fashion Show from the fabulous shopping boutiques in the center, a yoga demonstration form Blissful Yoga and Zumba class demos from Taryn from Oasis personal training.

The winner was the adorable Silvia Mathis. Here she is (on the left) posing with MOViN 97.5's Nina D. Her name was selected at midnight at the Citadelle Plaza's Sangria Luxe Lounge. The place was packed to the gills that night. The inside was filled with a huge dance floor of dancing couples and the outdoor patio was standing room only. This is the west valley's most elegant nightclub and it's customers dress to kill, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, all of us at the Citadelle Plaza hope Silvia and her friend enjoy their Ultimate Flyaway Giveaway trip and hope they bring us back some pictures!

Twilight Farmers Market Returns October 7th, 4-7 PM

I am so excited that the wonderful farmers and artisan bakers are back for the Fall-Winter- Spring series of the Twilight Farmers Market! It's been two months and the farmers have been busy planting for the past 2 months are now ready to bring their produce to the farmers market to sell.

I love everything about the Twilight Farmers Market. Remember when it was 113 degrees and close to 2000 people showed up to get their fruit and vegetables from growers like Carl at Sea Cat Gardens or Maya of Maya's Gardens? SEE HERE...

My husband would bring our dog, Wrigley and they would sit at a table at Tutti Santi's ristorante , order a glass of wine and a pizza while I went about doing the weekly shopping. And, we never ate so well as we did last summer.

The Twilight Farmers Market has its own Twitter account starting this week; if you want to follow to see what's going on each week, go to TwilightMarket and follow us!

The hours have changed to accommodate the cooler weather and the fact that it gets darker earlier. Of course, many of us are planning to show then enjoy a cocktail at Corbin's bar & grill, a glass of wine and light supper at Next Coffee or wine and pasta dinner at Tutti Santi's. It's the perfect date night, if you ask me! Or that perfect place to go and get an ice cream cone after football or soccer practice! We look forward to seeing you there. Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors that the Twilight Farmers Market is back for all to enjoy!
